The Astrofly was a mid- to upper-level, budget throw that used a starburst response for original tug return play (when string was wrapped twice around the bearing), or dead response play (when string was wrapped once around the bearing). Came with a size C center trac ball bearing axle. This model was the heaviest in the Fly series.
The Astrofly came with an upper-level trick sheet and user's manual that explained proper yo-yo maintenance and simple yo-yo operation.
The "Fly" series of yo-yos (Starfly, Galaxyfly, and Astrofly) was licensed by Bandai from YoYoFactory from 2011-2013. This short-lived series of three different yo-yos had their designs originally based on YoYoFactory's new (at the time) Replay model. The Replay was introduced on a very limited basis at the 2010 World Yo-Yo Championship. It wasn't until 2014 that the Replay was redesigned and in 2015 reintroduced, this time for the mass market.
