The Special Edition RB II was released in Japan and is identical to the Yomega RB II released in the United States. Uses a size E Yomega ball bearing with a starburst response.
This model does not have side caps by design, and its rims are weighted for increased spin times. I'm unsure as to what makes this a special edition, other than the milky clear body. Everything else is identical to the regular RB II model.
The RB II model was used by Jennifer Baybrook at the 1998 World Yo-Yo Contest in Florida to win the 2A (looping) division.
Compare this model with the Japanese released Yomega Hyper Impulse and the American released Yomega Power Spin. Both models are the same as the RB II but they use a plastic transaxle sleeve instead of a ball bearing.
