A plastic Monarch, one point crown made by Royal Yo-Yo. The registered trademark symbol appears between "Yo-Yo" on the card, and after "Yo-Yo" on the yo-yo itself. At the bottom of the card, on the front side, it says "*Trade Mark Licensed By Donald F. Duncan Inc."
An interesting piece of yo-yo history from the early 1960s about the time when plastic yo-yos were replacing wooden ones.
Made by Royal Tops Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, Long Island, New York.
The card is pre-printed with a price of $1.00. Many Royal cards from this same time period had a pre-printed price that was identical to the yo-yo's model number. See the following exhibits:
• Royal – Tournament, No. 409, 49¢ US
• Royal – Master, No. 59, 59¢ US
• Royal – Standard, No. 69, 69¢ US
• Royal – Monarch, No. 100, $1.00 US | |
