Everyone has an image of a round yo-yo in their mind, but the Stigma breaks that mold with its hexagonal shape. Like the Holgate shape yo-yos from the late 90s, this model of yo-yo certainly stands out in a sea of round yo-yos.
Built as part of the YoYoJoker's customizable EX (Exceed) series, the Stigma let you adjust its play play with various modular response units, bodies, and lock crests. The body on the Stigma is molded out of Delrin. The sharp angles are rounded down to soft bevels, so that it actually plays very smooth and is comfortable to catch.
The Black/Black model, seen in this exhibit, is a collaboration version between YoYoJoker and Yaneua Works. Yo-yo came in a special black spindle storage case. This version of the Stigma is the first version that was released and came out May, 2014. It first went on pre-sale at the YoYoJoker booth at Japan Nationals in May, 2014. A second version came out later and can be seen here. | |
