The yo-yo boom in the late 1990s produced a variety of opportunities for yo-yo manufacturers, including publishers of printed material devoted to yo-yos. One such publication was the very short-lived "Yo-Yo World Magazine". Only 3 issues were released during the latter half of 1999. Each issue usually contained interviews of noted individuals in the world of yo at that time, a buyer's guide to yo-yos and yo-yo accessories, and pages of tips and tricks. Advertising by various yo-yo makers was also abundant in each issue.
The magazine cover in this exhibit is volume 1, issue 1 and was available July-August, 1999 at the apex of the last, great yo-yo boom.
