The Steamroller was the first yo-yo made and sold by a company called Xcube (aka X³) based out of France. The company started in 2010 and was the first yo-yo brand to come from that country. Made from aluminum, this model sports an extremely tapered outside rim. One of the thinnest I have ever seen on a yo-yo. Craftsmanship is first rate, right down to the clever graphics and packaging.
Came with two size D bearings: one concave and one flat. Response pads are stock Xcube "Cross Pads" but you can also use General Yo Hat pads as well. Each Steamroller came serial numbered, but the total number produced is unknown. Came in anodized colors of ice blue, green, purple, and red.
Compare with the acrylic version of the Steamroller made by 3YO3.
Original retail price: $130 US.
