The "Turning Point II" yo-yo is Turning Point's refined successor to their original "Turning Point" yo-yo that came out in 2008. (Which was also the same year that Turning Point, the company, was introduced to the world. They made their debut on the now defunct website YoYoNation.)

At the 2016 Japan National Yo-Yo Contest, Ara Matsuura used a Turning Point II to win the 5A division. Turning Point also recommended the "II" as a great 1A throw as well. According to Turning Point, the "II" is their most widely used and distinctive model among their complete line. And, by designing the yo-yo in Japan and having it manufactured in China, they were able to keep the price relatively affordable, compared to Japanese manufactured yos.

Unfortunately, this model suffers from a very common problem among modern yo-yos: no name or other unique identifying marks engraved anywhere on the yo-yo. Not a good way for a quality yo-yo maker to leave a lasting legacy or to help someone unfamiliar with the brand identify it years later.

Uses a size C ball bearing. Came with string and cloth storage bag.

Original retail price: $75 US.
