An unusual Tom Kuhn Roller Woody / BC Lightning/. The yo-yo body is a laminated BC Lightning, No. 501, in red, black, pink, and blue. The guts of the yo-yo -- gap screw, steel axle, bearing, and Turbo Disc response pads -- are from a Tom Kuhn Roller Woody. The regular Lightning model was made with a wooden fixed axle and you could not take it apart like you can the one in this exhibit.
Tom Kuhn Custom Yo-Yos supposedly made six of these in error. They were first made available to buy from the Tom Kuhn store on Etsy on December 8, 2013. Then they were made available directly from their namesake website on January 21, 2014.
Came with extra strings, turbo disks, and Tom Kuhn Roller Woody and Sleep Machine instruction booklet.
Original retail price: $50 US | |
