What the Duncan "Imperial" yo-yo is to the USA, the one-piece Elfverson "Olympic" yo-yo (and "Pro" model) is to Canada. These classic wooden yo-yos were typically a Canadian player's first introduction to yo-yo.

Both the Olympic and Pro models were initially released in 1968 and continued to be sold under various toy company names until about 2005. Some design and text changes to the stamped seal have also been made over the years but the body shape has essentially remained the same all these years. These basic yo-yos were manufactured by Elfverson, based out of Sweden, between 1968 and 2005.

Between 1986 and 1995 Canada Games sold approximately 1.5 million Pro and Olympic yo-yos.
