Bandai's "HyperCluster Loop Body" yo-yo body released July 23, 2011. This particular date was the apex in the HyperCluster series and its popularity. The greatest number of yo-yos (2), bodies (14), and bearing sets (2) were introduced on this date by Bandai.

As the name suggests, this yo-yo had a modified shape body (rounded rims, weighted on the perimeter) designed for looping. These were sold only through authorized Bandai Hyper Yo-Yo dealers. There were six body colors available with just one half of a yo-yo body available per box. To get a complete body, you had to purchase two boxes. In addition, the boxes were blind, meaning you couldn't see the color of the body you were purchasing; it was entirely random. If you were determined to get the "rare", glow-in-the-dark looping body, you had to continue purchasing boxes until you got two of the same halves. Your chances of getting a single glow body halve were about one in ten. In most cases, you ended up with two different colored halves, similar to what is shown on the product's box. Note that these were body halves only. To complete the entire yo-yo you needed the other body halve and three other parts: a core, a bearing, and string. You could purchase those parts separately or you could use the parts from most any other HyperCluster series yo-yo set.

The "Vol. 1" text on the box suggested that additional "volumes" would be added in the future. However, no volume 2 was ever released.

In the "Body colors" exhibit picture, the color names of each body, starting from the left, are Sapphire blue, Amber yellow, Ruby pink, Red onyx, Navy chrystal, and Pearl white (glow).

The HyperCluster series took the ease of yo-yo customization to a whole new level. The packaging would usually show you other configurations you could build using compatible bodies, core parts, and bearings from other HyperCluster series yo-yos.

Each retail box was about the same dimensions as that of a deck of cards and came with one plastic body halve, a user guide, and a customization guide. The full, retail box display came with 12 smaller product boxes within it.

Original retail price: $5 each US.
