Bandai's "HyperCluster MB-S2 Star Wing BlazeGriffon" limited version yo-yo released July 23, 2011. This particular date was the apex in the HyperCluster series and its popularity. The greatest number of yo-yos (2), bodies (14), and bearing sets (2) were introduced by Bandai. What made this yo-yo a limited version was the white body and the fact that it was available only from authorized Bandai Hyper Yo-Yo dealers.

Considered a string trick yo-yo because of its wing shape, the BlazeGriffon includes a four gram metal weight ring near the perimeter of each halve for a slightly heavier play and feel compared to the "HyperCluster Wing". It uses a size A metal bearing (MB). The enclosed spacers (S2) can be installed with the bearing to increase the gap width for unresponsive play.

The HyperCluster series took the ease of yo-yo customization to a whole new level. The back of the package shows you other configurations you could build using compatible bodies, core parts, and bearings from other HyperCluster-series yo-yos.

Like all the yo-yos in this line, you could use this yo-yo to earn your Hyper Yo-Yo certification from an authorized Bandai Yo-Yo dealer.

Came with the two plastic body halves, two core parts with one axle, metal bearing (MB), two spacers (S2), string, user guide, customization guide, and trick guide. See "Other Views" in the SlashDragon exhibit to see examples of the three guides.

Original retail price: $26 US.
