Bandai's "HyperCluster MB3-PB2 Wide Wing S SpeedFalcon" limited version yo-yo released April 28, 2012. What made it limited was the turquoise aluminum weight rings, gray body, and blue core. It was also sold only from authorized Bandai Hyper Yo-Yo dealers. Hard to find.

A translucent red version with yellow anodized weight rings also exists. Rare. See "Red version" picture in this exhibit.

The design of the SpeedFalcon as a string trick yo-yo is meant to accommodate players of all skill levels. This version uses the widest core of any HyperCluster series yo-yo. Comes with two bearing types: one size C center trac metal bearing, and one blue plastic bearing. Both bearings could only be used with the yo-yo's enclosed core or the "HyperCluster Laser Core" which was sold separately.

While the center trac bearing is intended for players who prefer unresponsive yo-yo play, the blue plastic bearing is intended for players who prefer traditional, responsive yo-yo play. The plastic bearing functions more like a transaxle in that you must loop the end of the string twice around the bearing. The back of the package shows the "HyperCluster MachPhoenix EX" glow body being use with the core, and the "HyperCluster Laser Core" being used with the body. A customization guide also comes with the yo-yo that shows you other design and functionality variations, all made possible with the use of interchangeable parts from other HyperCluster series yo-yos.

Like all the yo-yos in this line, you could use any of them to earn your Hyper Yo-Yo certification from an authorized Bandai Yo-Yo dealer.

Came with the two plastic body halves, wide core with pads and axle, center trac metal bearing, plastic bearing, string, user guide, customization guide, and trick guide. See "Other Views" in the SlashDragon exhibit to see examples of the three guides.

Original retail price: $30 US.
