A plastic, two-colored yo that was free inside boxes of Post Grape Nut Flakes and Post Sugar Crisp cereal in the late 1950s or very early 1960s. The yo came unassembled inside a square, sealed paper envelope and its accompanying green string was wound around a separate piece of cardboard.

Only 29 mm diameter. Two thin plastic disks, one with the axle molded into it and the other with a hole to receive the axle. You pegged the string to the axle by pressing the halves together to make the complete yo-yo. The plastic is molded with logo information. These Post cereal prizes came in combinations of red/black, red/yellow, red/green, and red/blue.

Despite its diminutive size, there is no evidence that these yo-yos were ever included as prizes inside boxes of Cracker Jack or dispensed from gumball machines. Yet these two popular myths are still erroneously perpetuated on the Internet and on eBay auctions to this day. Cracker Jack did, however, have a similar looking tiny red and black plastic yo-yo as a toy prize inside boxes. The tiny yo-yo was Cracker Jack branded and from about 1965.
