A beautiful, purple metallic oversized Duncan award yo-yo from the late 1940s, early 1950s. The use of colored string – in this case, red – was uncommon.

It's challenging to find these with complete, intact decals on them; many have no sign of ever having had decals. The decals on this yo-yo (same on each side) are in very good condition with only minor flaking. The decal says "77" at the bottom. The same decals used on the wooden Duncan Tournament No. 77 models from this time period were also used on this award yo-yo.
