Duncan Satellite "Mark I". Based on the information that came with the 2004 reproduction version, this original model came out in the very early 60s, after the domed version.

Eventually, the Satellite had "Mark I" dropped from the side of the rocket on which the Duncan Yo-Yo Man is riding on the card.

Notice on this Satellite version that the bulge has a small diameter flat area; later versions of this model were made with the bulge entirely domed.

The M-1 was eventually dropped from the Duncan product line around the latter half of 1963. It proved to be a slow seller compared to its sibling the "Shrieking Sonic Satellite" yo-yo which remained popular among youth and continued to be made into 1964.
