An early Technic Terminator with first version side caps. Note the side caps say, "Oliver's Toys - Technic Terminator - San Francisco". "Oliver's Toys"--referring to long time yo-yo professional Dale Oliver--was eventually replaced with "Spintastics". When Dale initially began selling yo-yos, they were sold stand-alone, without any packaging, like this model. You just bought them off the shelf. In 1998, however, the company began selling their yos in packaging.

This early model was perfectly balanced with just the right gap width. It was superb for beginners wanting to learn looping or for advance players.

It ranks up there as my personal all-time favorite yo-yo for looping.

Take apart design with a wooden axle.

Original retail price: $6 US.
