The CLYW Bear vs Man is the signature yo-yo of Boyd Seth. The BvM stands as the first wide-release high end modern large bearing metal yo-yo to feature a splash annodization. While other metal yo-yos before it did sport splash anno (Tom Kuhn's SBII), the technique was not widely embraced as a default color option until after CLYW and the BvM brought it into the mainstream. So, from 2007 to 2009 CLYW was the only company doing splash and/or acidwash. By the Summer of 2009, however, everyone was doing splash. The Bear vs Man was a pioneer, and a trendsetter, and was the first proof that CLYW wasn't just some fly by night company that got lucky on their first release. Boyd "The Grizzly Man" Seth was the first person to join the CLYW team.
