Pictured here is a prototype of the Batik. Brad Countryman of Tom Kuhn yo-yos insisted that a "reverse burn" of the Batik logo would look better, and be easier for him to produce. Samples were made of both and pictured here is a one-of-a-kind Reverse burn.

The Batik was a special order commissioned for the final few months of Dave's Skill Toys online store. However, due to production problems, it arrived about 3 months after the store closed. Only 70 of an order of 100 were shipped. Most were given away as gifts.

The artwork was designed my Oke Rosgana of Indonesia, in the style of the traditional Indonesian Batik art style. The design was intended to be used on a mandala body, but mandala and no jive halves were not available at the time. So the design was made on a new body style under developement by Tom Kuhn. It would turn out that the Batik would be the first of the new No Jive 3 line.
