The MONSTAR (sic) was a collaboration yo-yo between Spin Gear of Japan and the illustrator known as Warhead (real name is Nuttaphon Suriyavarakul), who is based in Bangkok, Thailand. The new side cap design of Spin Gear's looping yo-yo model Starburst is now complete.

From SpinGear website:
"Greeting from Warhead

Hello, I am Warhead (Instagram: Warhead_BKK), an artist and illustrator based in Bangkok, Thailand. I specialize in illustrations and character designs that express a vibrant life to the fullest with my unique style, colors, and storytelling. I have always been inspired by subcultures such as anime, games, and my childhood. Currently, I am working on a project called "Fantasy Youth Club," featuring "MON" as the main character, to express my passion."

About the side caps
The side caps of the yo-yo use UV (Ultra Violet) printing and feature a different design on each side.

UV printing is a digital printing technology that uses UV light to cure or dry the ink as it is printed. Here are a few interesting key aspects of UV printing:

• Instant Drying: The UV light instantly cures the ink, which means the printed material is dry and ready for use immediately after printing. This ability reduces the risk of smudging and allows for faster production times.
• Versatility: UV printing can be used on a wide variety of materials, including paper, plastic, glass, metal, and wood. The technology makes it a versatile option for different types of projects.
• High Quality: The cured ink sits on top of the material rather than being absorbed, resulting in vibrant colors and sharp details. UV prints are ideal for high-quality graphics and detailed images as seen on the yo-yo in this exhibit.
• Durability: UV-cured inks are resistant to fading, scratching, and water damage, making them suitable for outdoor applications and items that require long-lasting prints.
• Eco-Friendly: UV printing is considered more environmentally friendly compared to traditional printing methods because it produces fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and uses less energy.
• Applications: Common uses of UV printing include signage, packaging, promotional items, and custom products like phone cases, apparel, and yes, even side caps for glow in the dark yo-yos.
