YoYoRewind of Japan worked with YoYoFactory in the production of this Loop 720 model, branded with Mother (Earthbound) project called "Yo-Yo of Ness" (or "Ness Yo-Yo") and sold exclusively in Tokyo, Japan at the "Enjoyment of Life" (or "The Fun of Life") exhibition, April 29, 2023 to May 5, 2023. The organizer of the free exhibition was Hobonichi.

"We cooperated in the production of the MOTHER (Earthbound) project “Yo-Yo of Ness” by Hobonichi!
Hobonichi Co., Ltd. is the company founded by Shigesato Itoi, the creator of the MOTHER (Earthbound) series.
It will be available for pre-sale at the Seikatsu no Tanoshimiten 2023 (access May 20, 2023) to be held in Tokyo from April 29 to May 5.
The yo-yo is based on YoYoFactory’s Loop 720 with a special red string.
The string is a little thick, so we recommend stretching it out or using a different string when using it."

"Weapon used by the main character in 'MOTHER 2 Gigue Strikes Back'. In 'MOTHER 3', it's a treasure kept in Porky's room as 'friend's yo-yo'. The yo-yo is an important item in MOTHER.
The yo-yo that I made this time is cool with a skeleton based on the red that symbolizes 'MOTHER'. The logo was placed in the middle of the yo-yo body. The string is also bright red. The base model is YoYoFactory's 'Loop 720' which was born in 2017 . While boasting high stability as a 'first yo-yo', it is also suitable for looping tricks such as 'ring toss' and 'around the world' under the supervision of SHU TAKADA, who has won six world championships. It's a yo-yo.
Ness yo-yo is 2,200 yen (tax included, shipping fee not included) * Yo-yos are not made-to-order. After selling at the 'Fun in Life Exhibition', it will also be sold online. The internal structure is orthodox and highly stable with [green] metal spacers and ball bearing axle. The width of the gap (groove) is fixed specifically for looping, so the yo-yo will return securely to your hand without any special oil adjustments or modifications. 'Loop 720' that looks and functions like 'This is a yo-yo!'. It comes in a transparent plastic case with the words "SMAAAASH!!" on it, so that it can be displayed on a regular basis."
Side of box packaging says "Ness... All you need for your adventure are companions and courage. After that, the usual bat and baseball cap. Take this yo-yo with you. It's a nice little weapon, and you can do a lot of tricks. May the goddess of fortune always smile upon you...". The interior paper packaging has a nice design behind the yo-yo, evoking the yo-yo in the game.
