The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

The Renegade was a popular player during the late 90's yo-yo craze. SuperYo used parts from their fixed axle Triple Play, and added a bearing axle. The result was a very competitive playing yo-yo. While the starburst response tended to wear off with play, it created a low response yo-yo. Owners experimented with adding response systems and many no response tricks were created.

The Renegade has been made in numerous colors, solids, clears, marbles, glows, glow marbles. The older versions used a hex shaped nut while the newer versions switched to a star shaped nut around 1999. A way to tell the older Gades from the newer ones. Pictured here is a marble blue produced in 2005.
