Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

From a Glow Yo Ball product sheet:
"The new light time/night time glowing action toy is a ball of instant excitement. Just throw Glow Yo Ball in any direction and it always comes back because it never needs winding. You will have hours of fun creating unique glowing designs in the dark. During the day, Glow Yo Ball is full of action play. You can learn to hit the moon, do a snake hug, or play hot potato ... and many more tricks you will discover on your own. Glow Yo Ball is safe, light, easy to master, but most of all is an all time favorite. Fun indoors and outdoors for everyone from age 4 to 120 years. A handful of fun! Always returns to your hand."
Card measured 127mm x 165mm. Was sold from either a counter display box, or a floor dump display.
Made by Knots, Inc., 2425 Third Street, San Francisco, California, 94107. As of 2023, a cheese and wine shop called "La Fromagerie" now resides at that address.
The Glow Yo Ball was assigned US patent 4418494 on December 6, 1983 to Edmond Ghandour for a "Returning ball toy". In his abstract, Edmond described the toy as "The toy is a ball or similar projectile which may be thrown and then retrieved by a hand-held line. The line winds on a reel, as in a yo-yo. The reel is connected to the ball by a torsion spring which winds up as the ball is thrown and then unwinds, reeling in the line and returning the ball to the hand. The toy requires less skill than a yo-yo."
Original retail price: Varied from $1 to $3 US.
