"Why doesn't Cajun Spinner's call this a 'Butterfly' yeaux-yeaux? Duncan Toys Company, currently owned by Flambeau, Inc., has a trademark on the word 'Butterfly' when it's in association with yo-yo's. To avoid violating their trademark, and in keeping with Cajun Spinner's Cajun French theme, we have given this Yeaux-Yeaux a new and unique name: Officiel Grand Écart."
'Officiel' is the French word for the English word 'Official'. And 'Grand Écart are the French words for the English words "wide gap", which a Monarch butterfly certainly has between its wings, and this Yeaux-Yeaux has between its halves.
