The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Made by the Apparel Division of Bandai Co. Ltd. in 1998, the three-colored Yomega Hyper Brain patch showcased one of more than 20 different Hyper Yo-Yo-themed iron-on patches that were sold at Bandai trick certification centers inside retail stores. It's possible that these patches were also used as prizes in yo-yo contests. Sometimes the patch highlighted a particular yo-yo model—such as the one seen in this exhibit—that was licensed by Bandai from either Yomega or Playmaxx of the U.S.A.

The patch was not suitable for waterproof items, items the stretched a lot, or items with hair or feathers sticking up. Depending on the size of the patch and number of colors used in it, the prices ranged from 100Â¥ to 500Â¥.
