The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

The Duncan Freehand Zero - Trilogy edition was a collaboration model between three yo-yo web stores that existed in 2007:
• Bird-in-Hand - Home of the National Yo-Yo Museum in the back of a store in Chico, California. For many years, they also hosted the U.S. National Yo-Yo Contest. Still in business.
• Spin Gear - At the time that this yo-yo was released, this Japan-based store was celebrating their 10th anniversary. Still in business.
• YoYoGuy.com - Also known as Infinite Illusions, the store was celebrating their 20th anniversary at the time. They also hosted the World Yo-Yo Contest for many years. Out of business.

From the spingear.jp website:
"It is a collaboration model by three shops. It is a groundbreaking project in which each shop transcends the boundaries and takes pride in each other's long-term activities in the yo-yo world, and puts the logos of the three companies on one cap. All three colors use special materials from GE. Both sides are custom logos.

Supplementary explanation about the three colors:
• Black glitter - Lame on the body of the black base. The real thing looks more lame than the picture.
• Pearl glitter - This is the pearl glitter color that was in the limited edition of the Duncan DragonFly
• Purple glitter - [Seen in this exhibit] It is basically purple with a shade like the maggiora color, the color looks different depending on the viewing angle, but you can also see the gold part."

The yo-yo was a bit of an odd release because it was never given an official name. I thought the white kanji character imprinted on the side cap would give a clue as to its name. But, it is simply the character for 0 (zero) in Japanese.
