The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Very little is known about this odd 2001 Yomega release. It is not clear whether this yo-yo is a Yomega Brain (despite the packaging saying Chara Brain) or a Yomega Fireball (I suspect the latter). It is also bizarre to have all English on the front of the package and all Japanese on the back. One halve includes two tiny figures: one of PaRappa the Rapper and the other Sunny the Funny, both encased in the halve.

Read more about PaRappa the Rapper (TV series).

Two other PaRappa Chara Brain models exist: one with PaRappa and PJ Berri, and the other with PaRappa and Chop Chop Master Onion. Any of these models are quite hard to find now.

Prema Toy Co. also licensed the Yomega yo-yo for other tiny, yo-yo encased characters. There is a Sesame Street version that included miniatures of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. And yet another version with miniatures of Gumby and Pokey, Gumby and Prickle, and The Blockheads.

Original retail price: $12 US.
