The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

The X-Ray Bee was a special release from Playmaxx. Playmaxx had just filled a special order to Hyper Yo-Yo of Japan for their Hyper Wasp, and made some extra parts for the X-Ray release. In my opinion, the most beautiful Bees ever made.

Matt Carter, Scarecrow, and I were amazed by the X-Rays. Matt decided to do up some artwork to promote the Yo-Yo Collective yo-yo club, where each member was a "Drone". So Matt and Playmaxx made these special X-Rays and a Yo-Yo Collective X-Ray Drone was born.

This one is the only X-Ray Drone made in the butterfly or GT shape. At the time, only red translucent halves were available from Playmaxx. These were mainly used for the Profire GT model. But with a bearing axle system and Scarecrow's art, they were assembled as one of the few translucent Bee GTs made.
