The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

A hard-to-find butterfly (also known as bow-tie or concave) model from Royal Yo-Yo Inc. Pre-printed with the price of "1.29". Beige white body with white sticker and "Royal® Yo-Yo" in red lettering and the outline of a 5-point crown with (T) in it (trademark). This model was Royal's version of Duncan's Butterfly model. Metal axle, starburst response, and 100% cotton string.

This yo-yo is likely from around 1969-1974. The sentence on the card front, at the bottom, says, "Precision designed by the original yo-yo experts to rigid tournament specifications". A few years later, the sentence was changed to read "The yo-yo of the famous Philipino Champions".

Compare with the Royal Yo-Yo Fire-Fly #88 model from the mid 1970s.
