Duncan's Duncan 90th anniversary - 1929-2019 glow in the dark Freehand NextGen model.
The Freehand NextGen was the 5th generation (Freehand I, Freehand II, Freehand Zero, Freehand Pro, Freehand NextGen) of the very popular, plastic Freehand that was first released in 2001. This next generation was based on the upgraded Freehand Pro, but with a few more enhancements.
The diameter was the same as the original but the width was slightly reduced to give it longer spin time. Despite being three grams lighter, the NextGen still feels and plays much like the previous Pro version..
One noticable enhancement was the design was updated in such as way that it prevented you from over-tightening the halves–a problem with past versions. Now you can disassemble and reassemble the halves with striping the female threads.
As with past Freehands, the NextGen was backwards compatible with older 48 mm Freehand sidecaps, letting you mix and match caps as desired.
Came with a flat, size C bearing, 19 mm response pads, and a single counterweight dice for 5A yo-yo play. Designed in the USA and manufactured in China.
