The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Based on the popular profile of the General-Yo 5 Star, the Mini Star yo-yo aimed to pack all the performance of the 5 star into an undersized body. The width, diameter, and weight of the 5 Star was altered by Ernie Kaiser, owner of General-Yo in California, to create the perfect ratio for an undersized yo-yo.

This edition of the General-Yo Mini Star yo-yo was exclusive to the former YoYoNation.com website (2006 – March 2012). It was released in June 2010. Production was supposedly 22 pieces. Uses a size C AIGR bearing and General-Yo Had Pad smooth response pads for this dead response yo-yo.

There was also made available at the same time as the release of the red version in this exhibit, a limited quantity of pre-production Mini Star's in polished raw aluminum that sold for $80 original retail price. They were sold at YoYoNation.com and YoYoNation.co.uk.

Original retail price: $90 US.
