Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

A Duncan Freehand 2 made for the first year of the Triple Crown of Yo-Yo competition, June 10 and 11, 2011 in Boston. The competition was also held July 28, 2012 and July 12, 2014, both in Chicago. No Triple Crown of Yo-Yo was held in 2013.
Some of the original sponsors of the event were YoYoFactory, Yomega, YoYoJam, C3YoYoDesign, YoYoNews, CLYW, One Drop, and Duncan.
The official http://triplecrownyoyo.com website went offline sometime in January, 2016.
This model of yo-yo came in the newer Duncan Freehand 2 packaging that also included a CD-ROM of tricks and one set of spacers (lower right in package). Note also that the freehand character weight is not painted like those found in previous versions of this yo-yo.
What was the Triple Crown of YoYo?
The Triple Crown of YoYo was a premier event for yoyo players of all skill levels. The 2014 event was a single yoyo 1A only competition. Three "crowns" and cash prizes were awarded to the top three finishing players. There was also an amateur 1A freestyle division where the "champions of tomorrow" could hone their skills.
In addition to being able to watch the absolute pinnacle of modern yoyo play, attendees had access to a dedicated beginners training area with loaner yoyos and free instruction from the best demonstrators in the world.
