From the Russell Promotions website: "In 1947 Jack Russell, a professional yo-yo player and world champion took a simple idea and turned it into a company. The company’s name was The Jack Russell Company and for over 50 years we promoted name brand products, linking them directly to our promotions. These promotions were based on a simple yet profound premise. Take a simple toy such as the yo-yo that is easy to learn but difficult to master and create a fad around it.
