The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Plastic yo-yo combined with eight different electronic sounds and several multi-colored LED lights, all activated when the player threw a sleeper. Metal axle and starburst response. In the mid to late 90s, Imperial yo-yos were considered more novelty and fun for those with just a passing interest in yo-yo play.

Yo-yos with batteries are among the worst yo-yo collectibles, especially if the yo-yo is sealed inside the packaging. As batteries age, they often leak and corrode surrounding surfaces inside the yo-yo cavity. It is best to collect such yo-yos without any packaging so you can easily remove the batteries for storing the yo-yo long term.

Original retail price: $3 US.
