The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

The plastic Super Yo Spin Boss had red caps on blue body halves. This model of yo-yo was unique for several reasons. The plastic was heat sensitive so it change color like a mood ring, depending on how warm your hand was when you held the yo-yo. You could also easily reconfigure the yo-yo into three different shapes: "Imperial", "Butterfly", and "Camel".

The Spinboss used a fixed axle with a starburst response. And, the yo-yo came with the string in a "hitch" configuration, similar to Yomega yo-yos. That is, the string was already wrapped three times around the axle. The hitch made the yo-yo play easily for beginners. As you advanced in your play, you simply removed two of the three wraps of the yo-yo string from around the axle. The single wrap of the string made the Spinboss sleep easier so you could perform more complex tricks.

Collected June, 1997.
