The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

American Spinners one-piece wooden yo-yo from their "Collector" series in a gorgeous jade green metalflake. Model number from their catalog is JG 306. The profile of the Collector had some resemblance to the Russell Coke yo-yos.

This model of yo-yo came out in 1990. By the mid 90s wooden yo-yos began to give way to mass produced plastic and metal yo-yos. By about 2004, the golden age of Tournament-style wooden yo-yos—the staple of yo-yo play since 1928—had all but disappeared.

Original retail price: $15 US.
