Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

From the Hasbro website:
"Work to find inner balance and unleash the powers of light and darkness with Blazing Team! Based on the popular Blazing Team TV show, Blazing Team toys let kids become their own masters of Yo Kwon Do, practicing exciting tricks and swinging their skills into action.
Yo Kwon Do battlers-in-training can recreate the Yo Kwon Do fantasy with a throw of the Echostrike FX. Each Echostrike FX comes with 1 built-in set of creature sound effects and lights, plus 2 interchangeable creature plates featuring additional sound effects and lights. Plates easily unclip from and clip back into the toy, so kids can use whichever creature plates they want -- whether they're feeling fierce like a tiger, sly like a lion, quick like a monkey, or strong like a dragon! With the Echostrike FX, kids can feel like they're part of the action!"
Blazing Team was an animated boys action-adventure series that first aired in 2015 on the Discovery Family cable channel. The show's premise is that a mysterious “darkness†rises; a group of teens join together to harness the mystical power of "Yo Kwon Do"--a practice that defeats evil by blending the skill of yo-yos with the martial art of Tae Kwon Do. The series was originally based on the Chinese animated series "Blazing Teens" that first aired in 2006 in Asian countries.
Skill Level 1. The Blazing Team product line, combined with the animated series, filled a market niche in that their yo-yos were designed with young children in mind (in this case 5+) who were new to yo-yo play; they were also affordable, fun, and interesting to use. The yo-yos helped children develop their hand/eye coordination, and the discipline needed to master a skill. As young players became accomplished, they would build more confidence at each stage or level. At the time, there was no other yo-yo product line quite like it.
Set included the yo-yo and 2 additional creature plates that featured different lights and sounds. The sounds and lights were motion-activated. The yo-yo also featured a retractable string for easy play, much like Empire Industries' YoYo Ball toy. The spirit ring secured on your finger for fast and controlled play action. This yo-yo required the installation of 2 AAA batteries. | |
