Compared to the first generation model that was released in 2012, this model is only 1 gram lighter. Also, unlike the 2012 version, the 2014 model does not use plastic lense sidecaps. Instead, each body halve is solid plastic with a molded concave center (for finger tip spins). Uses the Japanese IrPad brand response pads made specifically for Yoyorecreation yo-yos. Also uses Yoyorecreations's own straight concave shaped ball bearing axle that is created with two steps, known as a "Double Straight" (see bearing close-up picture). This version also came with a half spec ball bearing axle for original play, responsive play. Release May 7, 2014.
