The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

9.8's yo-yo commemorating Yuri Gagarin as the first human to journey into outer space on April 12, 1961 aboard the Soviet Union's Vostok spacecraft. Yuri was barely 27 years old at the time.

It's unfortunate that the astronaut's name was not added to the yo-yo nor the date of his epic space journey. Gagarin died March 27, 1968 at the age of 34.

Yo-yo has excellent anodizing. The engraving is identical on both sides of the yo-yo. Concave, size C bearing and silicone pads. Included one polyester string and a 9.8-branded velour drawstring pouch.
