The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Pictured here is the "Spin Top" version of the Giant Eagles. Spin Top contests were almost as popular as yo-yo contests in the 1950's.

The Giant Eagle patches were the largest of the Duncan patches, and highly sought after by competitors in the 1950's, and now by collectors. The Giant patches were a velour patch, with a thick textured face, sewn to a thick felt backing. These were usually affixed to a Duncan sweater, but I have also heard that some were awarded as patches.
