Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

Chico Yo-Yo Company out of Chico, California was known for manufacturing very high-quality, precision yo-yos. That high quality also came with a fairly hefty price tag. In January 2012, CYYC released their first budget-conscious yo-yo: The Flyer. At 50.3mm wide and 40.6mm in diameter, the Flyer is considered a mini. It also shares nearly identical specifications as CYYC's T-Bone model and Flattop model, although it is slightly heavier at 67 grams.
The arrow-straight body ends in a slightly stepped H-profile. The rim is angled but flattens out halfway to the edge to assist with inner-ring grinds.
The super-low edge makes the Flyer very controllable. In addition to its well-designed shape, the Flyer comes with a CYYC 10-ball bearing for smooth, long spins. Response comes in the form of custom cut silicone pads that were made in the USA out of high temperature silicone and have a strong adhesive backing. You can also replace the pads with flowable silicone, if desired.
The Fly was initially released in a purple/black marbled coloring. It was later released in very limited quantities of all blue (seen in this exhibit).
Original retail price: $75 US.
